Casa Nerd

Most nights we stay in and have marathon viewing sessions of True Blood or this awesome New Zealand show, Outrageous Fortune (which, of course, the States has already ripped off in a show that started last year called Scoundrels. Has anyone seen it yet? Does it suck?), but last week we decided to mix it up and try our hand at a 1000 piece puzzle.

Unbeknownst to me, I’ve been living with a puzzle nazi.  My previous puzzle-making strategy consisted of just grabbing lots of random pieces and trying to fit them together.  This time, I was made to separate out the corner pieces and color-code others.  And while I was not outright blamed when several missing corner pieces ended up being over in “my section,” there was a lot of heavy sighing going on from across the table.

That’s why it only takes two afternoons (ok, and maybe some seriously late nights) to finish a puzzle of this magnitude in our house.  Because we’re geeks, and we like it.

Excuse me, but everyone knows that pieces must be categorized in order for optimal puzzle-putting-together to take place.

That is possibly the most amazing puzzle ever. Ever.
